What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rental Technician position at Burke Mountain Resort?
SUMMARY The Rental Technician assists guests with finding and fitting ski and snowboard equipment. This position works with guests directly on a daily basis to provide the best customer experience possible while staying up to date with current trends in equipment technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
WINTER-SPECIFIC:
- Techs work to ensure guest and/or rental equipment is repaired and tuned to optimum performance with strong consideration for safety standards.
- Techs must develop/maintain a savvy working knowledge of tuning equipment and repair techniques.
- Technicians maintain strong communication skills with all team members and guests.
- Examine the rental fleet for maintenance and repairs needed.
- Properly fit guests with ski/board.
- Determine appropriate gear for guest based on experience level.
- Stay educated on latest technology and trends in equipment technology.
- Participate in safety trainings.
- Listen and understand guest needs to provide exceptional guest service.
- Other duties as assigned, which could be directly related or unrelated to original position.
- Must possess a mature work ethic with timely and reliable attendance.
- Ability to lift awkward and moderately sized loads.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work weekends and/or holidays as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
