What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Interventionist-Forest Hill/ Hillcrest Elementary Schools position at Burke County Schools?
Full-Time Math Interventionist
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to determine the intervention needs of students.
- Create common assessments that align with curriculum and pacing.
- Assist the MTSS Coordinator with collecting and analyzing formative and summative assessment data.
- Work individually or in small groups with students to set learning goals and targets.
- Provide targeted instruction that meets the need of each student.
- Maintain and submit progress monitoring data to MTSS Coordinator.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information, documents, communications, incidents, etc., with discretion.
- Meet monthly with math teams to share strategies that include differentiation.
- Attend staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences, including in-service training.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Desirable applicants will hold a B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field teaching. They must possess and maintain proper certification established by NC state law and the Department of Public Instruction.
