POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for accurately counting the warehouse inventory to ensure the company maintains correct levels of salable inventory in which to best service our customers. Work with Warehouse Manager to investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies. Repack damaged, broken cases of product in the Breakage Room for resale to customer accounts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct daily inventory counts of products maintained in warehouse as directed by supervisor.
Verify inventory counts by re-counting and documenting inventory reports.
Enter daily cycle counts into hand-held RF scanner device.
Research inventory discrepancies by tracing back various steps in process.
Follow proper procedure for documenting inventory levels of multiple items on a daily basis.
Keep supervisor informed of inventory levels of product on-site.
Clean and wipe down beverage product to be repacked for sale to customers.
Pack and label product with appropriate expiration date of product.
Rotate existing product on first in, first out basis to guarantee product freshness.
Assist in maintaining a clean warehouse as needed or requested.
Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions and conduct oneself in a professional manner that is supportive of management.
Maintain a clean, organized, safe and secure work area.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
Previous warehouse, stock or inventory control experience preferred.
Pallet jack, forklift experience a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to safely lift, stack and handle up to 55- pound case of beer frequently.
Must be able to safely lift and handle a 160 pound ½ barrel of beer occasionally.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Must be able to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Must be able to use handheld inventory tracking device (RF scanner).
Must have excellent math and counting skills.
Must be detail oriented.
Must be a team player and demonstrate positive work behaviors and attitude.
Must be professional in interactions with internal and external staff.
Must be able to take direction well from supervisor and other staff.
Bilingual, Spanish fluency a plus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position requires a self-motivated individual who is able to work quickly, accurately and effectively with a sense of urgency about getting work done in an efficient manner while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. This position involves work requiring standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, pivot twisting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. Typical work schedule is early mornings (starting as early as 4:00am) Monday-Friday but must be flexible regarding changes in work schedule as operations and customers' needs change. SOME SATURDAYS REQUIRED.
