The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling visual content across various platforms that effectively communicates our message and engages our community. You will play a vital role in shaping the visual identity of our organisation and supporting our diverse ministries and events.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualise and create visually appealing graphics for both print and digital media, including social media content, website banners, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Design and produce materials for our services and events, such as flyers, brochures, posters, and sermon series graphics.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders and staff to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet organisational goals.
- Ensure all visual content is consistent with the brand identity and guidelines of the New Jerusalem Worship Center.
- Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Prepare final design files for production with printers and other external vendors.
- Stay current with design trends and technologies to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the team.
- Proven experience working as a Graphic Designer, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- A strong understanding of design principles, including typography, colour theory, and layout composition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and receive constructive feedback.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working within a non-profit or faith-based organisation is advantageous but not essential.
- A competitive hourly wage of $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
