Internal Service Advisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Internal Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from start to finish. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between our service technicians and our sales department, providing clear communication, accurate estimates, and exceptional service. Responsibilities

• Explain automotive repair procedures, estimate costs accurately using auto estimating tools, and recommend additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, or brake repairs.
• Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
• Upsell appropriate services by highlighting benefits that enhance vehicle performance and safety while maintaining transparency.
• Manage all aspects of service writing, including creating detailed work orders and updating sales department records efficiently.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, transmissions, diesel engine repair, suspension systems, air brakes, shocks & struts, auto body repair, and other mechanical components to assist customers effectively.

Requirements

• Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management and customer service.
• Hands-on mechanic experience or automotive diagnostics knowledge is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive repair procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
• Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining integrity
• Knowledge of various automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repair, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repairs.
• Experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and record keeping. Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
