School Bus Driver
The Burgettstown Area School District is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to join our transportation team. This is a vital role responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transport of students to and from school and school-related activities.
Position Type: Part-Time, Split Shift
Location: Burgettstown, PA
Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a school bus on a designated route and schedule
Ensure the safety of all passengers during transport
Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain cleanliness
Follow all traffic laws, district policies, and state regulations
Report any incidents, disciplinary issues, or mechanical concerns promptly
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania CDL with S and P endorsements (or willingness to obtain)
Clean driving record and background check
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening
Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
Must possess current clearances, including Act 34 (Criminal History), Act 151 (Child Abuse), and FBI Fingerprint Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior school bus driving experience
Familiarity with the local area and school district
