B&N Bridge Inspection Engineer/Project Manager Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and manage routine and bridge inspections and projects
- Assist with marketing new and existing clients, follow up on new business leads and help build bridge engineering services in Florida and regionally
- Willingness to lead and train younger staff in the field and in the office.
- Bachelor of Science in civil or structural engineering degree or equivalent from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment required; or ability to register through reciprocity
- Prior bridge inspection, design, and/or load rating experience required
- 2-week NHI/FHWA Bridge Inspection certification, NSTM/FC NHI/FHWA certification, SPRAT or IRATA rope access certification, and NHI Tunnel inspection certification are all desired
- Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with Bentley AssetWise and AASHTOWare BrM
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to work outside regardless of weather conditions
- Ability to withstand high levels of physical exertion including walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 30 lbs. of equipment
- Ability and willingness to travel for field work; Travel requirements may be up to 100 days per year and include out-of-state travel depending on workload
- A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is a must
