Key Responsibilities·
- Prepare structural construction documents from architectural plans
- Produce master plans, address-specific plans, options, revisions, and mirrored plan sets.
- Coordinate with engineers to incorporate design revisions and redlines.
- Maintain drafting standards while ensuring accuracy and consistency across all plan sets
- Assist with permit-ready drawing packages and support engineering project schedules.
Qualifications
Experience
- 5 years of experience drafting structural plans for production homebuilders.
- Experience with post-tension foundation design, IRC residential construction, and permit ready structural plan production is required. Along with extensive experience preparing residential foundation plans, framing plan, and shear wall/wind bracing plans
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable drafting software
- Knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software including Microsoft Office, Gmail and Google Docs
Professional Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Self-starter with willingness to interact as a team player
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
- Ability to travel to meetings
