Qualifications
- At least 5 years' EXPERIENCE operating a Motor Grader Operator in heavy civil construction
- Skilled in the operation, adjustment, and routine maintenance of motor graders
- Solid understanding of grading techniques and construction processes
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and blueprints
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to all safety standards and regulations
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and on different terrain types and at different project sites as needed
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Operate motor graders with accuracy to achieve project specifications and blueprint requirements
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all company and regulatory safety procedures
- Conduct routine equipment checks, cleaning, and lubrication; promptly report any mechanical concerns
- Ensure grading quality and compliance with project standards
- Work collaboratively with operators, laborers, supervisors, and other crew members
- Communicate effectively with project managers and supervisors to support efficient project progress
- Follow all applicable regulations and industry best practices
- Troubleshoot and address operational issues encountered during grading activities
- Keep accurate daily records, including equipment inspections and work logs
