- Learn fundamentals of construction cost estimation and budgeting.
- Understand project drawings, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and specifications.
- Get introduced to estimation software (Agtek, HCSS HeavyBid).
- Perform material takeoff and cost estimation for labor, material, and equipment.
- Prepare a sample project estimate and review reports with junior estimators.
- Gain exposure to project management, documentation, and procurement.
- Learn contract management, RFIs, and submittals.
- Practice document control and folder organization techniques.
- Understand construction project scheduling using Primavera P6 and Procore.
- Work with subcontractors and vendors on procurement processes.
- Review cost coding and invoice routines.
- Visit to different job sites
- Basic of Safety and Environmental in a Civil Construction company
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related program.
- Basic understanding of construction principles.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
