Description:Locally owned since 1952, Burgermaster is a family-owned restaurant chain specializing in local, grass-fed beef burgers served drive-in style. We believe in using only grass-fed beef, antibiotic-free chicken, and as many local ingredients as we can. We make every single item to order, and we prepare many of our items here in house daily. Role and Responsibilities Assists manager to oversee restaurant operations by focusing on quality food and service Enforcing policies and ensuring employees are working the “Burgermaster way” as defined by Managers and Corporate Responsible for running the line and employees get their required breaks and mealtimes Assist with food costs by reducing or eliminating waste and knowing when to place other business priorities above food cost Assist with labor cost by ensuring employees on the clock are working, and ensuring the proper amount of employees are working Assist with prep work and cleaning, including checklists Reports issues of attitude, behavior, and attendance, ensuring situations are recorded following the incident reporting process and/or brought to Manager’s attention Coordinate which station each team member is assigned to for the shift Act as center of communication for the kitchen Attends Supervisor trainings as required Supervisor may be scheduled specific stations and/or jobs , but is expected to switch stations and/or jobs as needed to support the team Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent time management skills. Proven customer service skills Knowledge of all stations in the kitchen Demonstrate leadership skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to read English and comprehend simple instructions Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous restaurant experience required Previous Supervisory experience preferred Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills Food handlers permit required within 7 days of hire ServeSafe certifications required within 1 year of hire to Supervisory role Work Environment Prolonged periods standing, walking, and working around kitchen equipment Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Must be comfortable working long hours, including nights and weekends.
