Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed by the culinary team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all food safety standards are met.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Support the Dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements and preferences.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to management.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
