Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
• Prepare food items efficiently following safety and quality standards, including handling ingredients and assembling orders.
• Operate POS systems to process transactions accurately and quickly.
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales and improve guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Assist in food handling tasks such as portioning, wrapping, and storing ingredients properly.
• Support team members in various roles including serving, food prep, or stocking supplies as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment use to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
• Contribute to a lively team atmosphere by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues during busy periods.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn!
• Familiarity with POS systems like toast is a plus but training will be provided.
• Experience in the food industry including culinary skills or café work enhances your ability to excel in this role.
• Strong time management skills are essential for multitasking efficiently during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for sales upselling, and accurate order processing are important.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures ensures compliance with health regulations.
• Previous restaurant experience or retail experience involving serving or cashiering will help you hit the ground running.
