The primary responsibility for all positions with Burger's Ace Hardware is to WOW Every Customer Every Time and uphold the Core Values as determined by the management team. The Merchandise Coordinator's role also requires they foster a commitment to generate an in stock position to satisfy every customer by having the right product, in the right quantity, at the right time.
The Merchandise Coordinator position is responsible for the overall inventory integrity and maintenance of a store’s inventory following Ace’s inventory best practices and metrics - some of which are outlined below.
What your role will entail:
Merchandising
o Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked store shelves
o Replenish inventory as needed
o Complete “resets” to refresh inventory per Ace guidelines
o Create basic store signage, including bin tags
o Keep overstock areas clean and well-organized for easy access
Inventory accuracy
o Complete monthly inventory counts in a timely manner
o Complete daily inventory counts as needed
o Make corrections as needed in inventory system
o Maintain accurate inventory location codes
Monthly Promotions
- Review and execute Ace's monthly promotional sign kit, which includes setting up promotional endcap displays and pricing sale merchandise
- Removing signage after monthly promotions end
- Communicate all ads, sales, and promotions to management team and staff
Skills we’re looking for:
- 1-2 years experience in a retail environment (required)
- 1-2 years experience in retail merchandising (required)
- Experience with retail programs and/or planograms (required)
- Excellent quantitative and computer skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability,
- A commitment to service, excellence and customer satisfaction
