Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring all aspects of food preparation, service, and cleanliness meet company standards.
- Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and development to maximize team performance.
- Manage food production processes including cooking, food handling, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
- Oversee inventory control and ordering to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and reconciliation.
- Enforce food safety protocols and hygiene standards to guarantee compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Coordinate shift schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure smooth operations throughout each shift.
- Support kitchen management by supervising food preparation processes like catering, banquet service, or bar operations when applicable.
- Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly with a positive attitude to enhance guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the food industry, ideally in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with a strong background in team management and staff training & development.
- Hands-on culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, budgeting, and food safety standards including HACCP protocols.
- Experience working in hospitality management roles with exposure to kitchen management or restaurant operations.
- Previous experience in customer service roles within the restaurant or hotel industry is highly desirable.
