Position Summary:
The Purchasing Manager, Burger King Company Restaurants leads strategic purchasing activities across the business unit, overseeing buyers and coordinators to ensure alignment with operational goals and key performance metrics. This role serves as a cross-functional representative of Supply Chain, fostering collaboration, supplier engagement, and process excellence. The Purchasing Manager ensures timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement & purchasing that supports demand planning, quality standards, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Purchasing, Procurement & Operations
Lead the development, execution, and oversight of purchase orders for goods and services, ensuring alignment with demand plans and cost targets.
Facilitate daily/weekly operational meetings with buyers and schedulers to proactively manage supply issues and optimize inventory levels.
Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to support product lifecycle activities including new product introductions, engineering changes, and end-of-life transitions.
Compliance & Risk Management
Champion a culture of compliance by adhering to procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies across procurement activities and supplier engagements.
Ensure all purchasing activities, including pricing and contract flow-downs, are executed in a compliant and ethical manner.
Supplier Relationship Management
Lead strategic supplier engagement and performance management, focusing on key supplier relationships.
Establish and oversee supplier review processes, including performance monitoring and communication protocols.
Drive proposal pricing activities and support sourcing strategies for long-term agreements.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor a team of buyers and coordinators, setting performance goals and development plans.
Ensure proper staffing, training, and succession planning to build a resilient and high-performing procurement team.
Promote continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in procurement within construction and real estate environments.
Demonstrated ability to leverage supply chain strategies to improve site-level P&L performance.
Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense (A&D) operational paradigms and metrics.
Strong working knowledge of operational systems and cross-functional collaboration.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
5+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience.
5+ years in a leadership or management role.
2+ years negotiating complex, long-term supplier agreements.
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the base salary range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to: skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Depending on the position, successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus, as well as wellness and benefit offerings.
Salary: $95,000-$110,000
