Job Description
The Manager, Development is responsible for the development and site selection of new Burger King US restaurants. This person will be responsible for ensuring the team achieves its goals for net restaurant growth and restaurant remodels. This position reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Development for the U.S. business.
RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Successful candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week.

Job Description
The Manager, Development is responsible for the development and site selection of new Burger King US restaurants. Roles And Responsibilities
- Responsible for enabling franchisees to achieve industry-leading net restaurant growth and restaurant remodels.
- Lead weekly internal development calls with the design, real estate, and construction team to ensure pipeline progression towards opening and remodel targets.
- Lead weekly development meetings with new and existing franchisees to ensure progress on sourcing new sites and overall adherence to development agreements.
- Builds relationships with franchisees, brokers, and developers to build a quality development pipelines for current and future years.
- Work cross-functionally with the franchising, business development, and operations team to enable an efficient development process, and successful new restaurant openings.
- Conduct in-depth site analyses for new development opportunities and present to leadership for formal approval.
- Ability to build Market Plans for new and existing franchisees to target new development opportunities in underserved trade areas.
- Actively manage the closure pipeline with field and real estate teams to mitigate closures by via creative solutions to continue restaurant operations.
- Represent the brand at national franchise development conferences, specifically ICSC.
- Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Business, Real Estate, or Finance.
- 3-5 years relevant work experience.
- Demonstrates effective communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates strong business acumen to maintain and grow relationships with franchisees, brokers, and developers.
- Advanced in Microsoft Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrates high level of problem-solving skills, and creativity.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, to include formal presentation experience and the ability to prepare and present to senior leadership.
- Honesty, high integrity, personal accountability, and a passion for the success of the brand, the team, and personal career growth.
- Ability to travel to Central and Pacific, US.
