Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and ensuring high standards of food quality and service.
• Support and supervise team members in food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure consistency and safety.
• Manage inventory control, including stock rotation, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to keep costs in check.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
• Train new staff members on food safety, customer service, and restaurant procedures to foster a knowledgeable team.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, food production planning, and implementing strategies to improve overall restaurant performance.

Requirements

• Some experience in assistant manager roles within the food industry.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising teams in quick service or casual dining settings.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control, and food handling practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Previous experience in fine dining or hospitality environments is a plus; experience in catering or banquet settings is beneficial.
