Job Overview
Bureau Veritas seeks a detail-oriented Grain Sample Technician to support our agricultural inspection and quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect grain samples from diverse transportation modes, including:
- Rail cars
- Ships
- Barges
- Trucks
- Storage bins
- Execute sample collection using USDA-FGIS (Federal Grain Inspection Service) approved methodologies
- Accurately label and document sample origins
- Transport samples to laboratory for further processing
- Assist laboratory staff with sample preparation and processing
- Perform weight data collection as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions
- Basic understanding of agricultural sampling procedures
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors and in laboratory settings
