Description


This is a travel role. Position is for onsite work. We cover all of the United States.



Summary: Provides Quality Control direction to field personnel, including reviewing work quality, safety, and monitoring performance for Electrical, Mechanical, an Piping. Responsibilities include assuring all contractors and subcontractors comply with engineering standards and specifications. In addition, this individual makes certain that all engineering, surveys, inspections, etc. are complete and comply with the project.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its Core Values.*
  2. Participate and guide project quality control from kick-off until hand-off.*
  3. Implements the QA/QC management system at site.*
  4. Coordinates the quality inspections with the site sub-contractors and vendors.*
  5. Coordinates with the customers representative on all quality matters.*
  6. Coordinates all receipt inspections.*
  7. Distributes relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.*
  8. Verifies that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.*
  9. Participates in the internal and external site audits.*
  10. Coordinates all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors.*
  11. Ensures all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-built hand over through the QC turnover engineer.*
  12. Controls all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action.
  13. Completes site quality control instructions and action remedial responses.*
  14. Reviews the customers specification and undertake relevant training to the site QC inspector.
  15. Monitors the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
  16. Completes and coordinates the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer.*
  17. Coordinates with the site construction manager on all quality issues.*
  18. Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors QC personnel.*
  19. Elaborates inspection and test programs.*
  20. Assures all technical documents relative to site quality control are of current status.*


Position Requirements

Qualifications:

Candidates should have the following: Construction and QA/QC experience with MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) Systems - Prefer experience with large project construction practices, especially data center MEP infrastructure projects or other large construction projects for critical environments.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; and five to ten years related experience in the construction industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CQM certification.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places; outdoor weather conditions and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Work Schedule:

This position may entail working more than 8 hours a day, and potentially working on Saturday or Sunday depending on project assignments.
