Bureau Veritas is seeking an Environmental Project Assessor to join our Environmental Services team. In this role, you’ll conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), asbestos/lead/radon surveys, and other environmental evaluations, ensuring clients have the information they need to make safe and informed real estate and investment decisions.

What You’ll Do
- Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and related environmental evaluations in accordance with ASTM standards and client-specific scopes.
- Perform on-site inspections for asbestos, lead, radon, and other environmental hazards.
- Research and review historical property records, environmental reports, and regulatory filings to identify past land use and potential environmental concerns.
- Communicate with property owners, tenants, site representatives, and local regulatory agencies to verify conditions and compliance.
- Document findings and prepare clear, accurate written reports with photos, field notes, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Travel to client project sites across the U.S. (~50% - 75% of the time, with overnight stays as needed).
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3 years of experience in environmental site assessments, Phase I ESAs, or environmental consulting.
- Knowledge of ASTM Phase I ESA standards, environmental regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to travel nationwide on a regular basis.
- Certifications such as AHERA Asbestos Inspector, OSHA-40, or environmental field sampling credentials are a plus.
