EV Charging Installation Project Manager
Salary: Starting at $110,000 (plus bonus and benefits)
The Electric Vehicle Project Manager will support programs and technical services across BV divisions related to the 1electric vehicle (EV) market. This position is responsible for managing the overall direction, operations, budget, and reporting of each assigned project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, direct experience in the EV industry, and a solid understanding of the technical requirements for EV infrastructure.
This is more than project management—it’s about shaping the future of clean transportation by overseeing the successful deployment of EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) nationwide.
What You’ll Do
As the EV Charging Installation Project Manager, you will:
- Lead EVSE projects from start to finish, supporting the implementation and installation of charging infrastructure across cities nationwide.
- Foster client trust and confidence by promoting a proactive, customer-centric culture with EVSE developers, technology providers, utilities, and site hosts.
- Manage every aspect of the project lifecycle, including entitlement, site assessment, design, permitting, bidding, contracting, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Direct teams and resources, including consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders, to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Develop project budgets, forecasts, and timelines, managing change orders and ensuring financial accountability.
- Leverage project management software to maintain detailed schedules, track milestones, and communicate progress.
- Partner across teams—operations, construction planning, business development, and incentive program administrators—to resolve site, host, and customer challenges.
- Navigate complex rebate and incentive applications to maximize client benefits.
- Collaborate internally with the EV team and other BV divisions to align goals and enhance delivery efficiency.
- Travel extensively (up to 90%) to client sites across the U.S., overseeing installations, ensuring quality, and building strong relationships.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required.
- 5 years of project management or account management experience in the EV charging, renewable energy, utilities, or commercial construction space.
Preferred Certifications
- PMP and/or LEED certifications strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Proven expertise in EVSE technologies, electrical systems, and utility interconnection processes.
- Knowledge of construction components, processes, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web-based project management tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to present effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Enthusiasm for the EV market and a strong desire to contribute to its rapid growth.
