Salary/Pay Rate Range 79 ($59,272.80 - $99,669.60 Annually). Additional Salary Information
Salary will be commensurate with experience. Limitations apply to current State employees.

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalency, supplemented by an approved course conducted by a police academy. 48 months or more recent experience of a responsible nature in police, security, or investigative work. 12 months or more supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversees daily operations and administrative functions of the Taylor Hardin Police Department.
• Ensures that all officers meet and maintain all special requirements to perform the job.
• Supervises and coordinates functions to ensure the protection of hospital grounds, consumers,
employees, and visitors is maintained 24 hours a day.
• Monitors the Taylor Hardin officer staff to ensure compliance with job duties.
• Maintains communications with the Facility Director or designee by promptly reporting critical or
emergency situations occurring on facility grounds.
• Initiates corrective and disciplinary actions as necessary when violations in department and facility
policies have occurred.
• Reviews and assigns preliminary reports and investigations.
• Monitors video camera system.
• Coordinates trips for the hospital consumers and staff.
• Ensures transportation vehicles are routinely checked and serviced.
• Ensures compliance with hospital standards
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
• Ability to maintain a safe and secure environment for consumers, staff, visitors, and others and protect
state property.
• Ability to deal tactfully with the public and to react calmly and efficiently in emergencies.
• Ability to supervise staff.

record.
• Possession of a valid Alabama Driver's License required.
