Job Title: Wood Manufactory - General Labor (Heavy Duty)
Location: Tarboro, NC
Schedules: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM - 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM - 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Pay: 1st shift $15.00 - 2nd shift $17.00
A 90-day probationary period with a possible increase based on performance and attendance. After this period, the employee will have the option to transfer directly to the company and may be eligible for an additional increase.
Summary:
A wood reel manufacturing facility is seeking a General Laborer to assist with assembling precut wooden pieces into wood reels used for winding cables or strands.
Key Responsibilities:

Ability to use hand and power tools as hammers, nail guns, sander, strip wrap as needed and read tape measure.

Follow instructions provided by the lead person or supervisor, and other authorized personnel

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area for you and others

Adhere to all safety procedures and company protocols. (MANDATORY THE USE OF PPE)

Support general operations as assigned. Other duties or responsibilities may be assigned if your line or department is down.
Requirements:

Must wear steel-toe shoes, vest, safety glasses and gloves at all times on-site (MANDATORY).

Requires the ability to stand for long periods, twist and bend frequently, walk for extended periods, and perform continuous hand use.

Must be able to lift 35–55 lbs regularly without restrictions.

Ability to tolerate and work in changing inclement weather conditions, like hot and cold.

Strong adherence to safety, time, and attendance policies, company is very demanding.

Willingness to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, and must be able to work overtime during the high season.
