JOB SUMMARY

This role works closely with the Controller to perform and oversee the processing of payroll for all company employees, manage employee benefits/insurance plans, and 401k plan. Must be self-motivated and is expected to perform a variety of responsibilities and duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bi-monthly payroll processing
  • Differentiation reports
  • Overtime tracking
  • Part-timers / timesheets weekly
  • Track / update PTO when needed
  • Commissions / Bonuses (monthly / quarterly / bi-yearly)
  • CoAd maintenance
  • Bi-monthly 401k processing
  • Tracking loans / withdrawals
  • Helping controller with annual 401k audit
  • Payroll Budgets and analysis
  • Enter time sheets for part-time staff
  • Keep payroll log up to date with any changes: bonus, benefits, auto allowances, 401k changes, etc.
  • Review payroll reports and Excel files to ensure accuracy.
  • Fix any issues with overtime and timesheet clock in/out
  • John Hancock portal maintenance and upkeep.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related field
  • Minimum of 5 years prior payroll/accounting experience
  • Knowledge of payroll management software
  • Expertise in planning and prioritizing assigned projects/tasks
  • Possess a "can do" attitude exhibiting a high level of professionalism and personal accountability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Technically savvy with excellent ability to learn and utilize new software and client portals
  • Must be process-process oriented with good analytical capability
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
