Requirements / Qualifications
Required Credentials: Mild to Moderate Support Needs Education Specialist or Mild/Moderate credential, either Clear or Preliminary, or qualify for an intern credential in the credential area specific to this position. Should have Autism Authorization and English Language Learner Authorization or qualify for the Emergency permits for both. If you are intern eligible, you MUST submit, along with your EDJOIN application, a letter with from your university (on letterhead), stating that you are intern eligible. If you are not intern eligible but qualify for a Emergency PIP or STYP, include transcripts that verify your eligibility. **TK REQUIREMENT! As class will include TK students you will need to qualify for teaching TK students per ONE of our following District approved pathways: *Completed 24 units of Early Childhood Education or Child Development college units *Hold a Child Dev. Teacher Permit or Early Childhood Education Specialist credential *Taught at least 2 previous years in Transitional Kindergarten *Taught at least 2 previous years in Kindergarten *Possess a Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development *Hold a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher permit along with Education Specialist
Along with you application you must submit the following: Cover letter Resume Three recent letters of recommendation Copies of any credentials Copy of CSET tests (if applicable) Proof/Copy of EL Authorization Copies of transcripts If you are missing these documents, you will not be screened in.
