Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage systems.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute project plans.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine solutions swiftly.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes for safety and legality.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to electrical safety procedures and protocols.
- Use power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment effectively on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and safety checks conducted throughout each project phase.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician practices preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and schematics reading for automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting complex issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes is essential.
- Skilled in high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system installations across various commercial environments.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects with a focus on safety procedures.
- Handyman skills such as framing carpentry or general construction experience are considered a plus.
