Position Summary
At Buoy One, a server is more than an order taker—we are looking for hospitality-minded professionals who create memorable dining experiences while maintaining the pace, standards, and teamwork required in a high-volume seafood restaurant. Servers are expected to provide attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient service while representing the Buoy One brand with professionalism and pride.
Essential Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage guests promptly with a warm, polished, and professional attitude
- Guide guests through menu selections, daily specials, seafood offerings, and beverage pairings
- Demonstrate strong menu knowledge and confidently answer questions regarding ingredients, preparation methods, and modifications
- Accurately enter and manage orders through the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service throughout the dining experience
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked sections and service areas
- Work closely with hosts, bartenders, food runners, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately when necessary
- Complete opening, running side work, and closing duties thoroughly
- Process payments accurately and responsibly
- Uphold all health, sanitation, alcohol service, and company policies

Qualifications
- Restaurant serving experience preferred (seafood and high-volume experience a plus)
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to hospitality, accountability, and teamwork
