Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and execution of fleet safety and sustainability objectives
- Ensures that safety technology tools are used, results are examined, trend data is analyzed and plans are developed to reduce and prevent safety incidents
- Ensures and promotes a consistent driver safety culture throughout the organization
- Develop and execute a fuel conservation plan to reduce fuel usage and improve overall MPG
- Conduct periodic location inspections regarding DOT records and all transportation compliance procedures. Conduct reviews to ensure that compliance systems are being used and effective
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' related experience in transportation
- Must possess working knowledge of the following: DOT regulations, Transportation Safety practices, Accident investigation and prevention, FMCSA, and CSA 2010
- Proficient in MS Office products
- High organizational and Information management skills
- Leadership and change management training is a plus
- Proven leadership results
- Commercial motor vehicle driving experience a plus
- Experience building and executing strategic plans
- Ability to work in teams of an extended enterprise
- Sustainability experience (fuel usage reduction) is a plus
