Warehouse Facilities Custodian

MCR Safety, a Bunzl company, is hiring for a Warehouse Facilities Custodian. The Warehouse Facilities Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility by performing various custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning landscape and yard of trash, dusting shelves, removing debris, and generally ensuring a safe and sanitary working environment within the warehouse space.

1st shift 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

• General Cleaning:
  Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, dusting shelves and racks, wiping down surfaces, cleaning windows.

• Trash Removal:
  Regularly emptying trash cans and disposing of waste properly.

• Dock Area Upkeep:
  Cleaning loading docks, removing debris, and ensuring proper sanitization.

• Exterior Maintenance:
  Cleaning sidewalks, parking lots, and removing snow/ice as needed.

• Floor Care:
  Operating floor scrubbers and buffers to maintain floor surfaces.

• Inventory on Cleaning Supplies:
  Maintaining adequate stock of cleaning chemicals and equipment

• Reporting Maintenance Issues:
  Identifying and reporting any facility damage or malfunctioning equipment

• Adhering to Safety Protocols:
  Following all safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment operation.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED

• Knowledge of Warehouse Operations and Equipment Operations

• Physical ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

• Ability to operate cleaning equipment like sweepers, mops, and floor scrubbers.

• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their proper usage

• Ability to work independently and follow established cleaning schedules

• Good communication skills to report issues and coordinate with other warehouse staff

• Ability to lift product, up to 50lbs.
