Transfer Printing Machine Operator

Kishigo, a leader in safety gear and a division of Bunzl, is seeking a Transfer Printing Machine Operator for our facility in Fountain Valley. The Transfer Printing Machine Operator produces screened goods on polyesters, polyester/cotton blends and modacrylic garments with attention to detail and high quality standards. This position is responsible for preparing and setting up orders to print (multi-colors) on cut pieces and finished goods from start to finish.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate transfer machines (e.g., sublimation printers, heat presses) DTF printers.
• Load and align materials such as fabrics, vinyl, or paper for accurate printing.
• Monitor print jobs for quality, color accuracy, and alignment.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on DTF equipment.
• Calibrate machines and adjust settings based on material and job specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  
  

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• 1 years of experience operating Mimaki or similar transfer printing machines.
• Familiarity with RIP software (e.g., RasterLink) and color management.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with textile or garment printing.
• Knowledge of sublimation, DTF (Direct-to-Film), or DTG (Direct-to-Garment) processes.
• Understanding of digital file formats (e.g., AI, PSD, PNG).
  
  

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced production floor.
• Exposure to heat and printing chemicals (with proper PPE provided).
• Shift work may be required depending on production needs.
  
  

Kishigo salary range: $18.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience, education and geographic location. For applicants that do not have direct experience in the field, the company may work with a temporary agency during the training period, prior to hire.
