The Vending Program Manager will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive industrial vending program tailored to the needs of our food processing customers. The ideal candidate will assess customer inventory challenges, design vending solutions, and collaborate with internal teams to drive program adoption and success. Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to understand their business requirements, inventory management challenges, and operational goals. Conduct site visits and process audits to identify opportunities for vending solutions.
- Develop customized industrial vending programs that address customer needs, including hardware selection, software integration, and inventory stocking strategies. Oversee program rollout, ensuring seamless installation and training.
- Recommend and implement vending solutions that optimize stock levels, reduce downtime, and improve supply chain efficiency. Leverage vendor-managed inventory (VMI) principles where applicable.
- Utilize supply chain inventory management software to configure and monitor vending systems. Ensure data accuracy and provide customers with actionable insights through reporting tools.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering polished, professional presentations and consultations to build trust and drive program adoption.
- Partner with the marketing department to create compelling sales tools, customer documentation, and promotional materials that clearly communicate the value of the vending program.
- Track program performance metrics, such as inventory turnover, cost savings, and customer satisfaction. Provide regular reports to leadership and customers to demonstrate ROI.
- Stay informed on industry trends, vending technology advancements, and best practices in supply chain management. Propose enhancements to the vending program to maintain a competitive edge.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred but not required
- 5 years of experience in supply chain management, materials management, or related fields.
- Experience with industrial vending programs or vendor-managed inventory (VMI) is a plus but not required.
- Proven ability to interact with customers in a professional, polished manner.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
- Deep knowledge of supply chain and materials management principles.
- Strong IT proficiency, with experience using supply chain inventory management software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design tailored solutions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with vending machine hardware and software integration is a plus.
- Understanding of data analytics and reporting tools to drive decision-making.
