Customer Service Representative - Distribution (Seattle, WA)

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will work with a team of 6-8 peers to answer inquiries (50-100 calls & emails/day) regarding business customer accounts to investigate any issues and find resolutions in a timely manner. You will serve as the liaison between the sales staff, warehouse team, billing and the customer.

This role is onsite in our Seattle WA (Sumner) office, M-F. You will be assigned a consistent shift either 7:00a-4:00p or 8:00a – 5:00p. There may be some flexibility to work from home 1 day per week.

Responsibilities:

• Answering inquiries from distributor customers, end-users, and manufacturer’s reps by email, EDI, phone or fax.
• Entering and processing high-volume orders accurately with specific attention to detail.
• Investigate customer problems and/or complaints and coordinate effective solutions through to resolution.
• Maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders with exceptional service.
• Function as a liaison between customer service and other departments in the company to address customer needs.
• Expediting orders as required.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of new and existing products, processes, and policies.
• Working collaboratively with other departments to coordinate effective solutions and meet business goals and objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• A minimum of 1 years of customer service experience is preferred
• Ability to effectively work in a Windows environment with experience in MS Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel
• AS400 experience is a plus
• Time management and workload prioritization skills
• Resourceful problem solver with strong decision-making skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Willingness to Cross-Train and help others when needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excel at fostering positive relationships while handling diverse personalities with diplomacy and professionalism

The hourly rate for this role is $22-$25/hour based on experience, education and geographic location.
