We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and equipment.
- Conduct inspections on vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including air brakes, tires, and suspension systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
- Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment as necessary for repairs.
- Utilize welding skills for fabrication or repair tasks when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in diesel mechanics or automotive repair, with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles.
- Proficiency in working with air brake systems, tire service, and suspension components.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance and repair practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients.
- Certification or training in diesel mechanics is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Experience working with Caterpillar machinery is advantageous.
