What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Electronic Technician (Failure Investigation) position at Bunnell, Inc.?
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Manufacturing, the Manufacturing Electronic Technician is responsible for production support, manufacturing engineering tasks, equipment calibration control and support in failure investigations.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform equipment Failure Investigations and documentation involving troubleshooting, repair, and/or evaluation on customer complaints for returned customer or rental pool equipment
- Provide technical support to hospital personnel via phone
- Provide repair and service cost estimates for hospital owned equipment as requested by the customer
- Assist in service school training for customer biomed technicians.
- Complete special projects assigned by the Director of Manufacturing
- Observe all company safety policies and practices
- Observe and follow all instructions and procedures related to the functional job requirements
- Maintain and encourage cooperative relationships with all other Bunnell employees in supporting the company mission and strategic plan
- May be required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods and may occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Electronics or Science Technology, or equivalent.
- 1 year electronics technician experience
- Comprehend and follow written instructions as required.
Preferred Background:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology
- Computer knowledge in office applications
- Knowledge in requirements of medical device quality systems
- Two years experience in electronic test, calibration and trouble shooting
