What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scale House Clerk position at Bunge?
This Scale House Clerk position will be responsible for daily manning of the scale house and managing physical meal tickets, contracts and bean checks and settlements. Scale house responsibilities include accurately and safely weighing all inbound and outbound truck traffic. This position deals directly with our customers, providing excellent customer service is paramount to the success for this position.
Essential Functions:
1. Administer and adhere to all company, federal, state, and local accounting practices, policies, procedures and regulations.
2. Must be able to work flexible hours. Typically the position will work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00pm.
3. Scale house responsibilities include:
* Manning the scale house between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. However, the scale house administrator group is responsible for staffing the scale house during all hours of operation which will vary from time to time.
* Deal directly with customers and obtain information to generate a scale ticket.
* Utilizing One-Weigh ticket processing computer program and accurately enter data into system.
*Accurately weighing all inbound and outbound truck traffic and processing the appropriate documentation.
4. Must be able to work overtime throughout the year including the harvest season, which occurs every fall.

6. The Scale House Clerk will also perform other duties as assigned and recognize that priorities can and will likely shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the organization.
7. Passively gather market intelligence and pass along to commercial department.
8. Various clerical duties as requested by supervisor.
Skill/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associates degree in Accounting is preferred.
1-3 years work experience in accounting/data entry and customer service.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Excellent communications skills and customer service skills.
Timeliness and accuracy are critical.
