A Day in the Life:
The Master Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance of the Destrehan, LA soybean processing facility. Candidate must actively participate in Bunge’s employee safety policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees. Additionally, this role is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site’s food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
Position Details:
Initial schedule is Monday-Friday, 7a-3p. Potential to move to shift at a later date
Overtime, call out availability, on-call rotation, and/or straight days are required
Hourly pay rate: $40.76

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Read and understand ladder logic – troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logix Control (PLC) (Allen-Bradley) systems
- Follow, interpret, and read blueprints and schematics
- Calibrate and/or troubleshoot process instrumentation
- Wire 3 wire start/stop motor circuits
- Configure CMC hazard monitoring points
- Troubleshoot and repair MOVs
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 4160VAC or less) across the plant
- General electrician responsibilities including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wires
- Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipment
- Maintain electrical switchgear
- Lay out and install conduit
- Working knowledge of thermography
- Other duties as assigned
- Working knowledge of thermography
- TWIC card or ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Good written and verbal communication
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience
- Associate degree and/or technical certification
- PLC experience
- HVAC experience
