A Day in the Life:
The primary responsibility of the Elevator Operator III is the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.

A Day in the Life:

Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist in all areas of the loading, unloading, and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, rail (location specific) and inspect barges, trucks, and railcars before loading.
- Operate and monitor more advanced grain handling equipment (grain dryer, grain control room, bin sweeps and locomotives) on a routine basis.
- Performs grain receiving, weighing, and grading.
- Perform repairs for more complex maintenance issues. (fabrication, repairs, etc.)
- Properly and accurately record all applicable documentation.
- Work in a highly quality controlled environment.
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- 2 – 4 years of experience
- Skilled in maintenance, equipment operations, safety programs, and grain operations
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Agricultural experience
- Welding and light fabrication experience
- High school diploma or GED
