Duties
- Supervise daily center activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and licensing standards
- Lead and support staff in implementing the Frog Street curriculum, focused on childhood development and early childhood education principles
- Oversee classroom management, behavior management, and caregiving practices for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs or disabilities
- Coordinate staff schedules and facilitate ongoing training in areas such as first aid, special education, and working with children with disabilities
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Ensure the center adheres to health and safety protocols including infant care procedures, regulations, and emergency response plans
- Promote a positive team environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork among caregivers and teachers
Requirements
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Proven experience working with children in childcare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Classroom experience managing groups of young children across different age ranges including infants and toddlers
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable
- Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques
- Ability to lead a team with enthusiasm while maintaining high standards of care and safety
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners
