Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and positive behavior management.
• Collaborate with families to support children’s individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Manage classroom routines and behavior management strategies to promote a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
• Assess and document children’s progress through observations and standardized testing to tailor instruction effectively.
• Lead activities that support childhood development milestones, including social-emotional skills, language acquisition, and motor skills development.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and student interns to ensure high-quality childcare and preschool experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
• Experience with curriculum development across various domains such as literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs to support diverse learner needs.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families, staff, and community partners.
• Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons aligned with educational standards and assessments.
• Certification or degree in early childhood education or a related field; preschool teaching certification preferred.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
