Minimum Degree Level: Preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with 3 years of related Finance experience OR
Five years previous experience in accounting and/or payroll function in a public school unit
Position Summary: The Benefits Deduction/Payroll Specialist is responsible for the setup, processing, and balancing of employee payroll deductions and maintaining accurate records within finance and third party benefit systems. This includes all employee deductions, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, and supplemental. The Specialist ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and maintains confidential employee information.
