Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep our production lines running smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
  • Conduct repairs on mechanical components, including welding ( welding if applicable), hydraulic systems, and low/high voltage electrical systems.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
  • Diagnose electrical problems through electrical diagnostics and engineering troubleshooting techniques; repair and replace faulty components as needed.
  • Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts to access high or hard-to-reach machinery safely.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to facilitate precise repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze equipment performance data and implement improvements for industrial efficiency.
  • Support customer service initiatives by ensuring equipment reliability in manufacturing operations, contributing to overall client satisfaction.
  • Maintain safety standards by adhering to protocols related to high voltage, electrical safety, and industrial maintenance procedures.

Skills

  • Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities with a solid understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking.
  • Strong technical sales experience is a plus, especially in explaining equipment needs or solutions to clients or internal teams.
  • Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, HVAC troubleshooting, and the operation of scissor lifts for equipment access.
  • Skilled in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams; capable of performing electrical troubleshooting at both low and high voltage levels.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic troubleshooting, precision measuring instruments, welding techniques ( welding if applicable), and the use of ammeters or ohmmeters.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician practices, and engineering troubleshooting methods.
  • Ability to perform equipment repair tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards; experience with electrical maintenance is essential.
  • Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities in English; experience working in field service environments is advantageous.
  • Military background or experience in industrial electrician roles can provide valuable foundational skills for this position.
