Position Summary
ND Coffee Roastery is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to support the daily operations of our coffee roasting and distribution facility. In this hands-on role, you will assist with packaging, and finished product moving — from receiving incoming shipments and managing inventory to packaging roasted coffee and preparing orders for our café locations and wholesale partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer service. Answering phones and incoming customers to pick up orders for wholesale coffee.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming shipments of green (unroasted) coffee, drink supplies (syrups, powders, etc), packaging materials, and supplies
- Move, organize, and rotate inventory using first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices to keep product fresh
- Weigh, bag, seal, and label roasted coffee accurately for retail and wholesale orders
- Pick, pack, and stage wholesale, online, and inter-store orders for shipment or delivery
- Maintain accurate inventory counts, assist with regular stock checks, and flag low or aging inventory
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
- Keep the warehouse, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and compliant with food-safety and sanitation standards
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, scales, and sealing or labeling machines
- Assist with other warehouse and production tasks as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Customer service focused. Friendly, welcoming, with customer first attitude.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and move heavy items (coffee sacks of 50 lbs or boxes of syrups) throughout a shift
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting for the full duration of a shift
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when weighing and labeling product
- Basic math skills and comfort with simple inventory tracking and computer data entry
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Computer knowledge (Google, Gmail, Excel, Word)
Preferred (not required)
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous warehouse, fulfillment, production, or food-handling experience
- Experience operating a pallet jack or forklift
- Food handler's certification, or willingness to obtain one
- Interest in or knowledge of specialty coffee
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs; occasionally move heavier items (up to ~150 lbs) with assistance or equipment
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the shift
- Work in an environment with varying temperatures and exposure to coffee dust and equipment noise
