Cooking Club Instructor

Schedule

• Primary teaching days: Tuesday and Thursday
• Shift: 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
• Pay: 12.48/hr
• One additional planning/preparation day each week (selected by the instructor) for meal preparation, lesson planning, research, and program development.

Position Summary
The Cooking Club Instructor is responsible for planning and leading engaging, age-appropriate cooking classes for youth participants. The instructor will create a safe, fun, and educational environment while teaching basic culinary skills, nutrition, food safety, and teamwork.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and instruct hands-on cooking classes for youth.
• Develop weekly lesson plans and recipes appropriate for participants' ages and skill levels.
• Prepare ingredients and materials before each class.
• Teach proper kitchen safety, food handling, and sanitation practices.
• Supervise participants during all cooking activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom and kitchen space.
• Manage inventory and communicate supply needs.
• Complete meal preparation and lesson planning during the designated planning day.
• Communicate with program staff regarding participant progress and program needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting preferred.
• Basic cooking knowledge and kitchen safety experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Art Club Instructor

Schedule

• Teaching days: Monday and Thursday
• Shift: 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
• Pay: 12.48/hr
• Ages 3–6: 5:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
• Ages 7–12: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Planning and lesson preparation completed Tuesday through Friday as needed, at the instructor's discretion.

Position Summary
The Art Club Instructor develops and leads creative art classes that encourage self-expression, creativity, and artistic skill development for children of varying ages.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging visual arts lessons for youth.
• Adapt projects to accommodate different age groups and skill levels.
• Prepare materials and classroom supplies before each session.
• Encourage creativity while teaching fundamental art techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Monitor participant behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Develop lesson plans and prepare materials outside of class as needed.
• Track supply inventory and communicate material needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in visual arts, education, or youth programming preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Strong creativity, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work independently and develop engaging lesson plans.

STEM Club Instructor

• Teaching days: Monday and Wednesday
• Shift: 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
• Pay: 12.48/hr
• Two instructional sessions serving children ages 4–6 and 7–12 (exact class times to be determined).
• Additional planning time as needed to prepare lessons and activities.

Position Summary
The STEM Club Instructor is responsible for developing and leading exciting, hands-on STEM experiences that inspire curiosity and problem-solving. Activities may include science experiments, engineering challenges, technology exploration, and other educational enrichment activities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging STEM activities for youth.
• Lead age-appropriate science experiments and engineering challenges.
• Incorporate educational games and hands-on learning opportunities.
• Maintain a safe classroom environment and supervise participants.
• Prepare lesson materials and activity supplies before each class.
• Ensure proper use and storage of STEM equipment and materials.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs and interests of participants.
• Communicate supply needs and maintain inventory.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Background in STEM, education, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Enthusiasm for hands-on learning and youth development.
