Night Custodian Sweeper (2025-2026) - Bullitt East High School

This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.

Bullitt East High School is seeking a reliable, hardworking Night Sweeper to join our team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, is trustworthy, works well with others, and maintains excellent attendance.

Position Details

• Hours: 4.5 hours per day
• Work Year: 182 days
• 170 student instructional days
• 4 holidays
• 7 planning days
• 1 extended day
  
  

Contracted days will be adjusted based on start date.

This position is considered full-time with benefits.

Compensation

Step 0: $14.41 per hour

Step 10: $16.40 per hour

New employees may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.

(Upon hire, it is the employee's responsibility to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their previous employer.)

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
  

Must provide a copy to HR once recommended for hire

How Salary Is Calculated

Classified positions are hourly, but pay is issued on a year-long contract and divided among remaining paychecks.

Four paychecks are issued at the end of June.

Formula

Hours per day × hourly rate = daily rate

Daily rate × contracted days = annual salary

Annual salary ÷ remaining pay periods = biweekly pay
