Applicants should meet all of the following:
- Be 18 years of age and high school diploma (or GED) with experience working in a childcare center
- Be able to successfully pass a Comprehensive Background Check
- Have certification in CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens
- Have documentation of a complete physical
- Be available to work between the hours of 9am and 6 pm, with reliable transportation
- Have an awareness of the needs unique to children ages 0-5
- Be physically able to kneel, squat, lift, bend, and get up from the floor quickly while working with children of various weights
- Have a desire to work with young children and people who are passionate about developing strong ties with the children and their families in our care
Expectations of Position
- Have a professional demeanor and appearance at all times for center functions (working hours, after hour events, speaking about the center in public)
- Provide high quality customer service to the parents of the children in the entire center
- Stand out as a positive, moral, caring role model for all teaching staff in your room
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children in your care using developmentally appropriate, best practices in responding to social, emotional, and physical needs
