What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal/Legal Assistant position at Bullard Wangerin & Corbett?
We are looking for a self-motivated legal assistant with excellent organizational skills to ensure smooth operation of the office and effective case management. You will perform a broad spectrum of duties under the supervision of an attorney.
Responsibilities
· Manage appointments, schedule meetings, and maintain calendars for two attorneys.
· Communicate effectively with clients as well as with staff and attorneys in other legal offices.
· Prepare and organize documents for use by attorneys in depositions, hearings, and trials.
· Maintain a high volume of case files in an organized manner.
· Keep a detailed record of all work you perform on case files.
· Answer and direct phone calls.
· Monitor and record deadlines to ensure work is completed timely.
Skills
· Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, attorneys, co-workers, Judges, and court personnel.
· Ability to work independently and keep diligent record of tasks performed.
· Computer literacy, including utilizing electronic calendars, various word processors, email, downloading and saving documents from CD’s and external storage drives.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to work in a deadline-based and task-based environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
