Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential, commercial, and outdoor sites to identify pest activity and entry points
- Apply pesticides and chemical agents safely and effectively following all pesticide management protocols and safety regulations
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and ladder use to access hard-to-reach areas for treatment or inspection purposes
- Implement integrated pest management strategies that prioritize environmentally responsible solutions and long-term prevention
- Operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to all driving safety protocols
- Maintain detailed records of pesticide applications, treatment locations, and pest activity reports
- Educate clients on pest prevention techniques, including landscaping, lawn care, and general property maintenance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pest control or related outdoor work such as farming, landscaping, or agriculture
- Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and ladders safely
- Knowledge of pesticide application procedures, chemical agent handling, and pesticide management best practices
- Understanding of entomology principles relevant to identifying pests and their behaviors
- Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously, including confined space entry safety procedures and respiratory protection measures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles; clean driving record preferred
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while using ladders or climbing equipment safely
