Responsibilities

• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales swiftly and accurately, including cash handling and credit transactions
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and upselling menu items or retail products to enhance sales opportunities
• Prepare simple food items when needed, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
• Manage food handling responsibilities, including serving, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in food prep areas
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks in the café or quick service environment to support kitchen staff during busy hours
• Maintain accurate cash register balances through effective cash management and math skills, ensuring no discrepancies at shift end
• Uphold sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly while following health regulations
• Support overall store operations by assisting with stocking shelves or organizing retail items as needed during your shift

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail environments is highly preferred; familiarity with quick service or fast-food restaurants is a plus
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances your ability to perform efficiently
• Culinary experience or background in the food industry helps in understanding food safety practices and customer preferences
• Strong time management skills are essential for handling multiple tasks quickly while maintaining accuracy during busy periods
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction
• Experience with cash handling, basic math, and retail math ensures precise transactions and balanced registers
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques ensures compliance with health regulations
