Line Cook

Bull Run Restaurant is a full-service restaurant and live music venue in Shirley, Massachusetts. We are currently hiring a part-time Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We are open Wednesday through Sunday and closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Scheduling is based on business volume, which varies with our reservation counts and event calendar. Some weeks are busier than others, and we schedule accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and break down an assigned station during service
• Prepare and plate menu items consistently to recipe and presentation standards
• Complete daily prep lists accurately and within the time allotted
• Maintain proper food handling, temperature, labeling, and rotation practices at all times
• Keep the station, equipment, and walk-in clean, organized, and stocked
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house teams during service
• Support other stations and assist with closing duties as needed

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior line cook experience in a full-service kitchen is required
• Working knowledge of knife skills, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
• Availability for night and weekend shifts, including the Sunday morning shift
• Availability to work holidays
• Able to work efficiently and stay composed during high-volume service
• Able to stand, lift, and move for the duration of a shift in a hot kitchen environment
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
